School has started and all the students are slowly getting getting back into the rhythm of school with sports, clubs, and sadly homework. How was the start of your school year? If you answered that your year started off good, then my response to you is, Cool. If you answered that your year didn’t start off to well, then my response to you is, Aw. Whatever your answer is, it is important to remember to get active within your school. Even a small club could help you cope with a slow boring year. The beginning of my year started off pretty good, but it was kinda crazy. It’s not easy to get back into school, when your suffering from three different types of Senioritis As a treatment for these sicknesses I took a pretty easy schedule this year. The classes that I’m taken this year are; German, Computer Graphics, Physics, and Film Institute. Film Institute is a Small Learning Community that consist of three different classes.; English 4, Film History, and Film Lab. Each one of these classes focuses on a certain aspect of film, and exposes the student to the different things that have and do make up the film industry. I chose this Small Learning Community this year because it allows the student to focus on the type of medium that they enjoy rather than than the standard way of teaching a English class.
For us seniors, the year has started and the next couple months are going to be overwhelming. We will be applying to colleges, visiting colleges, and trying to raise our SATs and increase our chances of getting into that dream school. It’s important to remember that this last year is a turning point in our lives. We will be taking the next step in our lives, and the memories that we share this year with our friends, could be some of the last memories you have with them. Make them last, and have an exciting year.
